The music ranges from traditional acoustic guitar Blues to live jam sessions with a few experimental New Age sound tracks.

Moonrock Recording Artists

The Moonrocks are a rare and unique geologic formation that consist of Santa Margarita sandstone located in proximity to the Pacific Ocean and are found only in Santa Cruz County, California. Biologists refer to these large outcrops of rock as the sand hills habitat that support numerous rare plants including the endangered and beautiful Santa Cruz cypress tree.

The Coastal Indians of California considered the Moonrocks to be sacred and holy ground used during vision quests and as a source of spiritual inspiration.

For a short period of time, 1999 to about 2003 a small group of amateur musicians gathered at the rocks to sound track this insperation.

Today, musicians exploit the natural splendor with outdoor recreational activities such as "Rock Surfing". In some locations rock waves reach over 50 feet high.
